Here are some terrific images from the most recent re-enactment clash of the battle of Tolentino.

Presented by the Tolentino 1815 Association, the battle - historically fought between King Joachim Murat's forces and an Austrian army under Marshal Bianchi.

Apart from getting into some serious work with muskets and lances, the members of the association enjoy reproducing the everyday lifestyle of people during the Napoleonic Era, including their art, cooking and culture.

The life of the soldier is just as it was carried out nearly 200 years ago with plenty of discipline, marching, weapons practice, eating and parades.
